About Barnsley RUFC
Barnsley RUFC was founded in 1902. The club played at Wombwell Lane, Stairfoot, before moving to Shaw Lane during the 1990’s. The club currently play in Yorkshire Division Two, and are striving for promotion to Yorkshire’s elite division.
The Club’s Director of Rugby is Mark Smith and there are numerous rugby sections:
- Men’s 1st XV, 2nd and 3rd teams
- Ladies Seniors, under 18 girls, under 15 girls and under 13 girls
- Junior Colts, under 16’s, under 14’s, under 13’s, under 12’s and under 11’s
- Tots & Minis section – under 10’s, under 9’s, under 8’s, under 7’s and Tots
